A pool has been handed almost ?250,000 by the National Lottery after people complained that the poor changing rooms were putting them off swimming.
Market Drayton Swimming Pool will use the money from the Sport England New Improvement Fund for a complete overhaul of its changing rooms.
It has been handed ?248,667, which will fund changes to enhance privacy for users.
The pool is one of five leisure centres run by the Shropshire Community Leisure Trust on behalf of Shropshire Council.
Peter Davis, principal leisure facilities manager at Shropshire Council, said: ?This is wonderful news, as we have been well aware that the changing rooms needed upgrading.?
Work is due to start later this year.
The centre underwent a ?318,000 revamp last summer when a gym was installed in the former reception area, a new reception was created and improvements were made to disabled access.
Brian Taylor, chairman of Shropshire Community Leisure Trust, said: ?We are delighted that the council has been awarded lottery funding.
?The pool is well used by the local community and this money will make a real difference.?
