(AP) -- Indiana can expect to remain the top team when The Associated Press men's basketball poll comes out on Monday. However, second-ranked Duke will likely drop a couple of spots following an ACC road loss.
Seth Allen drained a pair of free throws with 2.8 seconds left to give Maryland an 83-81 win over the Blue Devils. Allen finished with 16 points and Alex Len added a team-high 19 as the Terrapins dropped Duke to 22-3.
Seth Curry paced the Blue Devils with 25 points and Quinn Cook finished with 18. Cook had a chance to be the hero, but he missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.
Earlier in Bloomington, Will Sheehey scored a career-high 22 points and set a team record by going 9-for-9 from the field in the Hoosiers 83-55 romp over Purdue. Cody Zeller finished with 19 points and nine rebounds, and Christian Watford scored 10 of his 14 points in the first five minutes.
The only blemish for the Hoosiers was an injury to Victor Oladipo (oh-lah-DEE'-poh), who sprained his ankle in the final minute of the first half and missed the rest of the game. It's unclear whether he'll play Tuesday at Michigan State.

-- Kelly Olynyk had 26 points and nine rebounds as fifth-ranked Gonzaga finally won at San Francisco 71-61. Elias Harris added 17 points and 13 rebounds in the Bulldogs' first win at War Memorial Gymnasium in four years.
-- Brandon Triche (trihsh) contributed a career-high 29 points, six rebounds and five assists as No. 6 Syracuse beat Seton Hall 76-65 to keep its share of the Big East lead. C.J. Fair added 19 points and 11 rebounds to help the Orange bounce back from Tuesday's loss to Connecticut.
-- Seventh-ranked Florida rolled over Auburn, 83-52. Mike Rosario led the Gators' attack with 22 points while Kenny Boynton had 16. Florida has won its last three SEC games by an average of 24 points.
-- No. 8 Michigan State got by Nebraska 73-64 as Keith Appling chipped in 16 points for the Spartans to go over 1,000 for his career. Adreian Payne added 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Spartans, who still share the Big Ten lead with Indiana.
-- Shane Southwell scored all 18 of his points from beyond the arc as 10th-ranked Kansas State hammered Baylor 81-61. Angel Rodriguez scored 22 points, including a three-pointer that fueled a 13-2 run after the Bears got within 43-41.
-- No. 11 Butler beat Fordham 68-63 behind Rotnei Clarke's 22 points. The Rams led 35-30 until the Bulldogs went on a 16-2 run to go up 46-37 with under 13 minutes to play.
-- Jeff Withey's 15 points and 11 rebounds carried 14th-ranked Kansas to a 73-47 pounding of Texas.
-- Vander Blue scored 19 points to lead No. 18 Marquette to a 79-69 victory over 16th-ranked Pittsburgh. Blue was 7 of 8 from the field and 3 for 4 on free throws to go with six rebounds for the Golden Eagles, who moved into a first-place tie with Georgetown in the Big East. Marquette also won the teams' previous meeting this season, 74-67 in overtime at Pittsburgh on Jan. 20.
-- Marcus Smart scored 28 points, Le'Bryan Nash added a season-high 26 and No. 17 Oklahoma State beat Oklahoma 84-79 in overtime. Smart fed Nash for a right-handed slam with 53 seconds left in overtime to put the Cowboys up for good, 80-79.
-- No. 19 New Mexico closed on a 13-4 run to beat Boise State 60-50. Cameron Bairstow had 16 points and seven rebounds, while teammate Tony Snell added 12 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Lobos.
-- Kadeem Batts scored 20 points and Vincent Council had 11 assists to become Providence's career leader as the Friars beat No. 21 Notre Dame 71-54. Providence has won four straight, including a victory over then-No. 17 Cincinnati on Feb. 6. Council also had 11 rebounds and seven points.
-- Adonis Thomas scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as No. 22 Memphis beat Marshall 71-59, the Tigers' 16th consecutive win. The Tigers are 11-0 in Conference USA.
-- No. 23 Oregon beat Washington State 79-77 on E.J. Singler's two free throws with 3.8 seconds left in overtime. Singler had a team-high 25 points for the Ducks, who are 10-3 in the Pac 12 following their third straight win.
-- Dorian Green scored 22 points and No. 24 Colorado State picked up its sixth straight win by holding off Air Force 89-86. The Falcons lost despite Michael Lyons' career-high 45 points, the most by an Air Force player in a league game.
-- No. 25 Kentucky was crushed as Trae Golden had 24 points and eight assists in Tennessee's 88-58 romp over the Wildcats. The win is the most lopsided for the Volunteers over the Wildcats in the 216-game history of this series.
HOUSTON (AP) -- The NBA held its usual array of competitions on the eve of the All-Star game in Houston.
Toronto rookie Terrence Ross beat defending champion Jeremy Evans to win the slam-dunk contest. The 6-foot-6 Ross jumped over a ball boy, whipped the ball between his legs and threw down a one-handed slam to clinch the victory.
Cleveland point guard Kyrie Irving beat San Antonio's Matt Bonner to win the 3-point contest. Irving started 7 for 7 in the final round and finished with 23 points, two shy of the record shared by Craig Hodges and Jason Kapono
A team of Chris Bosh, Swin Cash and Dominique Wilkins won the Shooting Stars competition, beating the trio of Russell Westbrook, Maya Moore and Robert Horry. Portland rookie Damian Lillard beat Philadelphia guard Jrue Holiday in the final round to win the Skills Competition
NBA Commissioner David Stern held his final All-Star weekend news conference before retiring next February. He fielded numerous questions about the future of the Sacramento Kings but gave little insight into the situation.
A Seattle group has reached an agreement to buy the team from the Maloof family with the goal of moving it to the Northwest, and Sacramento's mayor is trying to keep the Kings in California's capital. Stern says owners will continue to discuss the plans and will hear from Mayor Kevin Johnson with the goal of deciding at their April board meeting.
Deputy Commissioner Adam Silver said next year's All-Star game likely will be played in New York, either at Madison Square Garden or the Barclay's Center.

Hunter ousted
HOUSTON (AP) -- Billy Hunter has been unanimously voted out as executive director of the NBA players' association. A possible change has been building since a review of the union last month was critical of Hunter's leadership and urged players to consider whether they wanted to keep him.
Hunter had led the union since 1996 and his attorneys have indicated there could be a legal challenge if he was removed.
Tavares tricks Devils...Tampa Bay comes back to beat Panthers
(AP) -- Anaheim goaltender Viktor Fasth continued his personal winning streak while the Anaheim Ducks inched closer to the Western Conference-leading Chicago Blackhawks
The 30-year-old Fasth stopped 32 shots and Corey Perry scored the deciding shootout goal as the Ducks won for the eighth time in their last nine games, topping Nashville 3-2. Fasth is 8-0 this year, with four victories coming in shootouts.
The Ducks trailed twice before moving within two points of the Blackhawks, who own the league's best record.
Also on ice, John Tavares registered his fourth career hat trick and had an assist in the New York Islanders' 5-1 win over New Jersey. Matt Moulson added a goal and three assists as the Islanders handed the Eastern Conference leaders just their second loss in seven games.
Ben Scrivens notched his first career shutout with a 34-save effort in Toronto's 3-0 win over Ottawa. Fraser McLaren, Tyler Bozak and John-Michael Liles scored for Toronto, which earned its fifth win in six games.
Montreal has a three-game winning streak after rookie Brendan Gallagher provided a goal and an assist in a 4-1 triumph over Philadelphia. Gallagher left four minutes into the third period and did not return after being hit into the boards by Luke Schenn.
Benoit Pouliot (BEHN'-wah POO'-lee-aht), scored 79 seconds into overtime as Tampa Bay beat Florida 6-5 to end a six-game losing streak. The Panthers were on the verge of a 5-4 win until Teddy Purcell (PUR'-sul) tallied with 11 seconds left in regulation.
Martin Hanzal scored twice and had an assist as Phoenix topped Columbus 5-3. Hanzal's first goal broke a 3-3 tie with 11:42 remaining, sending the Coyotes to their third win in four games.
Magnus Paajarvi (pah-YAHR'-vee) scored the tiebreaking goal with 1:34 remaining before Edmonton completed a 6-4 win over Colorado. The Avalanche led 4-1 until Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Ales Hemsky (AL'-ehsh HEHM'-skee) scored 59 seconds apart late in the second period.

Reds and Bailey agree
GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) -- Pitcher Homer Bailey and the Cincinnati Reds have agreed to a $5.35 million, one-year contract, ensuring baseball will set a record low for arbitration hearings. No cases have been argued before three-person panels this year among the 133 players who filed for arbitration last month. Just two hearings remain scheduled for next week, San Diego left-hander Clayton Richard and Baltimore reliever Darren O'Day.
Baseball's previous record low was three hearings, set in 2005 and matched in 2009 and 2011. The high was 35 in 1986.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Bill Haas will take a two-shot lead over three golfers into the final round of the Northern Trust Open. The defending champion is 12-under par after firing a 7-under 64 in round three.
